Same guy George Weiss who wrote the Lion Sleeps Tonite, Can’t Help Falling in Love With You, also wrote What a Wonderful World which is most often associated with Louie Armstrong and the movie Good Morning Viet Nam. Great song, great cover and great scene where it’s used in the movie.
That said however, the following video will probably obliterate any previous association the song has with Louie, the movie etc.
Gotta say that after checking this out, I have some new found respect for Joey Ramone!
