The Corbett Boys – Lloyd and Agnes Hammett’s Grandsons

Front row Steve, Tom, Lauren. and Mike.  Back row Jim.

Yesterday was a good start to the new year and at the Store I had what I’ll call a “Hammett day” visitor-wise.  Marissa Stevens was in along with a nice couple Donna Alija and Dale Dimmick.  When Dale introduced himself, I misheard his last name and replied “We might be related because my great grandmother was a Hammett.”  He then handed me his card and when I saw that his last name wasn’t Hammett I commented on it.  Dale laughed and said “Well I didn’t say anything because my ex-wife was a Hammett and I wondered how you knew that.”
Little after they left in rolled some of my other favorite visitors to the Store – the Corbett Boys.  They are the grandsons of Lloyd and Agnes Hammett and their Mom Patricia is buried in St. Michael’s Cemetery   They come down periodically to visit their Mom in the Cemetery, say hello to Buzzy in his resting spot and then come down to the Store for a few drinks.   Missing on this trip was their other brother John.  I told Lauren she was a bold woman to be traveling with these guys.  So maybe that’s why she’s clutching that bottle of wine!
