Moonlight Mile

I was visiting my buddy Ronnie in Little Rock when we heard Bob Seeger’s Turn the Page song about how hard life is on the road.  Ronnie said to the car radio “Hey Bob, it goes with the job, get over it.”
Ever since I’ve always viewed songs about the road with some skepticism and Brother Ronnie’s words in mind.  Only Willie Nelson ever seemed to have anything good to sing about being “on the road” and we all know how and why he’s been able to cope so well all these years.
Here’s the Stones “road” song and even with Ronnie’s words not with standing, it makes the cut.  In particular check out at the 3:31 mark where Mick says “Come on up now” and the tempo jumps.  Note how in the video that the scenes change from rural to urban with the “I’m coming home” line featuring pictures of Big Ben and other London shots.  Great song and video and always makes me want to be home whenever I’m traveling somewhere and hear it,
