| Some of the New Hats in Stock |
I had just noticed that my Buzzy hat stock was getting low when my hat supplier Buddy called out of the blue and asked if I needed anything. Surprised at the coincidence of him calling me just minutes after I’d thought about calling him, I placed an order similar to what I’d ordered previously. I did not discuss costs with Buddy but assumed that it would be approximately what I had paid last time I ordered from him.
Well, you know how assumptions go and sure enough Buddy’s bill ended up being much higher than what I’d expected it to be. (I can hear Buzzy admonishing me for not nailing down the cost before placing the order.) Lesson learned, next time I order hats, whether with or without Buddy, I’ll do better at ascertaining/negotiating their cost before pulling the trigger.
Anyway, got a lot of nice hats for sale in Buzzy’s Country Store and am not passing along Buddy’s price increase. (Prices remain @ $8.50 for ball caps and $7.50 for visors.) Swing by to pick one up. But please, don’t tell me that Buddy sent you!
