Spent last week in Northern Italy as part of a wine tour organized by Joann and Steve McKeown the owners of Quality Street Kitchen and Catering. The tour was based in the “Il Chianti” region of Tuscany located between Florence and Siena. We visited various vineyards and wineries, one of which was located at the villa (above) where we stayed click here. (We actually were in the villa’s farmhouse located a little ways away. However, in addition to a tour of the villa and its winery, we had a cooking lesson and dinner, with wine of course, in the villa on our last evening there. It was quite the experience.)
Good trip, enjoyed the countryside and learned a lot about il vino. One of the tour guides summed it up best when she said “Wine is God’s way of letting us know that life is a privilege.”
