Buzzy Christmas Party 14 Dec: STD – PTOC Whatever!

When it comes to scheduling and planning for upcoming events, I don’t particularly care for the “STD” notification.  Whenever I receive a nice announcement of some one’s upcoming special event and it’s prefaced with STD, my first thought is always along the “sexually transmitted disease” definition. 


Thus, in announcing Buzzy’s Christmas party for this year as being on Friday  14 December,  I thought to coin a new acronym of PTOC for “Put This On the Calendar.”  However, I hit the google machine and learned that this too has been co-opted in a way:  it is Kansas City’s  Possum Trot Orienteering Club’s acronym.  Maybe I will stay with the STD designation after all.  Regardless, the Buzzy Christmas Party will be on 14 December.
