At my daughter Ryan’s graduation from the University of Hawaii several years back, the commencement speaker was former Dodgers’ manager Tommy Lasorda. When I pointed this out to someone there with me, she noted “Oh, isn’t he the weight loss guy?” (After retiring as manager, Lasorda did several weight loss commercials for Slim Fast.)
Similarly, Danica Patrick is probably more renown for her Go Daddy ads than for her race car driving accomplishments. Of course that could yet change if she does well today at the Daytona 500. (Personally though, I still think I will prefer her Go Daddy stuff as in the following:)
