In case you missed this, our Department of Justice is suing Anheuser-InBev over plans to buy out Grupo-Modelo a Mexican company that produces Corona (click here.) Funny how the Justice boys didn’t say or do anything a few years back when Belgium-based InBev bought out Anheuser. Why is it a problem now? (And yes, as the DoJ predicts will happen again if the merger goes thru, beer prices did go up right after the Anheuser-InBev merger.)
Still, would hope/think that our Justice Department has more pressing concerns to contend with then suing beer companies. Go figure. Better yet, go drink.
