Knocking the Juke Box

Saw a  story where Mick Taylor joined the Rolling Stones on stage the other night.   They had had a falling out years ago when Taylor left the Stones and was replaced with Ronnie Wood after which the Stones kept rolling.  Taylor however  was a member of Stones in their prime when they did the Sticky Fingers/Exiles/White  albums which many claim to be their high point as a band.  In discussing one of my top 5 favorite Stones songs, Taylor recalls in a 1979 interview:
Can’t You Hear Me Knocking… is one of my favourites… (The jam at the end) just happened by accident; that was never planned. Towards the end of the song I just felt like carrying on playing. Everybody was putting their instruments down, but the tape was still rolling and it sounded good, so everybody quickly picked up their instruments again and carried on playing. It just happened, and it was a one-take thing. A lot of people seem to really like that part.”
Check it out at the 4:40 mark on.
YouTube Poster Stones achieved even more fame when Alan mentioned and parodied them here at the 1:37 and 2:08 marks. (Also, check out Alan’s intro and the appearance of George Jones later in the video.)
