Here’s a movie related story for you that’s a little weird. A Few Good Men was based on a true story. But the rest of the story is that the central character upon whom the movie was based, was later found murdered (click here.) Stranger still, the murder remains unsolved to this day. Here’s the Jack part of the movie that may have summed things up fairly accurately in this case as to the handling of the truth. 
I’ll leave you with one of the best/worst pun jokes I’ve ever heard: What did the baby boy who was cutting teeth say to his nursing mother? “You can’t handle the tooth.”
