| Dead Rise Dead in the Middle of Buzzy’s Yuppie Beer Selections |
Dead Rise beer is the latest offering from Raging Dog Brewery located in Frederick, Maryland. (I’ve mentioned them previously here on the Buzzyblog (click here) and how their beer labels are designed by Ralph Steadman.)
Dead Rise is a seasonal craft beer that just hit the market a few months ago and so far has been a hit. So much so that Raging Dog was having problems keeping up with the demand for it. Dead Rise’s popularity is reflective of an overall surge in craft beer demand (click here.) There are now approximately 2,800 craft breweries in the US and that number is growing. In Southern Maryland alone we have two – Solomon’s Ruddy Duck and Mully’s in Prince Frederick.
Re: the Buzzy beer cooler (above,) ever-observant Winkie noted that “Buzzy never used to have all these yuppie beers that you got here in the middle.” I replied “If Buzzy had known how yuppies don’t mind spending big money on their beer, he too would have stocked it!”
