When my In laws visit we make a point to do Sunday morning breakfast and usually take in Rick Meatyard’s Tall Timber’s Marina Sunday morning spread. However, yesterday we decided to take a little road trip over to Cobb Island and hit the buffet at Shymansky’s. It’s always good as stated by this review. Coincidently, a Michelle was our waitress too.

After eating breakfast we always take a ride around Cobb Island. As we did so this time I told Stella and Sol about the 1996 death of William Colby former head of the CIA (for related story click here.) The Captain John’s restaurant mentioned in the article is located directly across the road from Shymansky’s.
Buzzy and I were on a trip in Europe at the time of Colby’s drowning in Cobb Island’s Neale Sound. As we watched the news and heard the accounts of Colby’s death, I remember Buzzy saying “Something doesn’t sound right about that.” He may have been right. Here is a Stones’ tune you don’t hear too much of but the video is worth checking out even if it has nothing to do with canoeing.
