Steve O’Neil asked that Buzzy’s Country Store serve as the registration point for their Sons of the American Legion Poker Run tomorrow.
When I agreed initially it was my understanding that someone from the Legion would be here to honcho it. However, Steve has now asked me to do the actual registering of Poker Run participants. OK, no problem. In the no-good-deed-unpunished bin then, I’ll be open at 9:30 to register Poker Run participants.
This is the beginning of a day-long event at the Legion that includes a bull roast, an oyster scald, games, raffles and two bands in the afternoon/evening. I joked with Steve as to why they didn’t just throw in a sunrise service and a midnight breakfast and they could have been raking in money all day and night.
If you travel this way for the event, Buzzy’s will also be open albeit a lot quieter.
