John Carbone starts off our Buzzy birthday celebrations on 2 November with John “Busser” Eaker on the 4th and Wes Demko on the 5th. Darlene Madjeski’s is on the 8th, John Porter 9th, Sharon Barnhill the 12th, Harry Wheatley and Wade Norris on the 14th. Joe Stone 16th, John Wayne Raley and Warren Burke the 20th. Mary Lou Cullison and Mike Raley the 23rd. My niece Katie Taylor celebrates on the 25th and closing out the month – Bobby Cook’s b’day is on the 30th. And my Grand daughter Lily turns 8 on the 17th. (Funny isn’t it how there’s no problem mentioning how old someone is when they are young.)
For Christians today November 1st is All Saints Day. However, for some other folks it is known 
Sunset on Samhain is the beginning of the Celtic New Year. The old year has passed, the harvest has been gathered, cattle and sheep have been brought in from the fields, and the leaves have fallen from the trees. The earth slowly begins to die around us.
This is a good time for us to look at wrapping up the old and preparing for the new in our lives. Think about the things you did in the last twelve months. Have you left anything unresolved? If so, now is the time to wrap things up. Once you’ve gotten all that unfinished stuff cleared away, and out of your life, then you can begin looking towards the next year. The Celtic new year, is celebrated today.
