Talk about coincidences, I blogged about Mateus wine the other day and just now as I was looking for the stashed box of Buzzy Christmas cards, I found this bottle of it nestled on a back shelf. (Yes, seven years after taking over the Store from my Dad, I’m still cleaning out and finding stuff.)
Interesting thing about this bottle of Mateus is that it has “U.S. Forces” imprinted on it. So I google “Mateus + U.S. Forces” and sure enough wander into the following discussion (click here) of how it probably came from an overseas Military Class VI Store aka a military liquor store. Drinking song for you features Janis at 19 with her first recorded song. Still wonder how Janis would have aged and moved on career-wise had she stayed around. Just don’t see her doing Celebrity Jeopardy; Celebrity Rehab perhaps. Too, I’m betting that she would never have done a duet with Tony Bennett.
