Speaking of catching up with local boys when doing some travelling (Gary McKay in previous post,) I finally caught up with Beale Tilton in Ft. Lauderdale. I say finally because for several years now whenever Beale would drop into Buzzy’s Country Store when he was home I threatened to look him up next time Pam and I were down that way visiting with her parents Stella and Sol.

Since we had planned to go out to lunch to celebrate Sol’s birthday, I invited Beale and his wife Donna to join us also. It was good catching up with them. (Beale has recently finished refurbishing the famous Rowdy II boat that he and Bart set a racing record in (for that story click here.) His wife Donna noted that Beale has two boats in the garage which means that they can’t park either of their cars in the garage. Hey, you know you’re a County boy when you have your boats in the garage and your cars elsewhere.)
I thought of that a couple days later when watching the movie Still Alice and the following Lyle Lovett song was featured at the movies’ end (click here.) Great song, even if it is in a very depressing movie.
