Pt. Lookout Prison Camp Sketches

Re: touristy stuff to do in South County (previous post) I found this book (click here) containing the sketches of Private John Omenhausser.  He made the sketches while he was being held prisoner at Pt. Lookout in 1864 – 1865.  Once you click on the link scroll down and listen to the podcast with the book’s co-author Ross Kimmel.  Mr. Kimmel talks about Omenhausser’s Baltimore background, how he ended up at Pt. Lookout and what became of him after he was released from the prison at the end of the war.   I also located this description of Omenhausser and his work (click here.)
