Two more events for you in South County this weekend. Trinity Church has their chicken dinner today and you don’t even have to get out of your car to take advantage of it.
And on Monday the Ridge American Legion hosts its annual Memorial Day Ceremony along with the Ridge Rumble for Vets. Unlike what happened in Waco, Texas the other day with the outlaw motorcycle gangs, this should be a peaceful gathering of motorcyclists.
Also, last year, an election year, lots of politicos were on hand for the Ceremony. Be interesting to see how many of them do or don’t show up this year. Leads one to wonder what’s worse – having a bunch of politicians around or a group of outlaw motorcycle gangs? Some might say there really isn’t much difference when all is said and done. (With apologies to my OMG friends for that cheap shot comparison.)
