Jimmy's and Seaside Country Store

Following up on yesterday’s post about Ruke’s on Smith Island closing, here are a couple of local businesses that are doing very well – Jimmy’s Kitchen and the Seaside Country Store

While over in Ocean City last weekend visiting with friends Penny and Norm, we hit Jimmy’s for breakfast.  Located in Fenwick Island, Delaware, Jimmy’s reminds me of our Linda’s Cafe in Lexington Park.  Check out their Yelp reviews (click here.)

After stuffing ourselves on Jimmy’s Nor’easter, a combination of bacon, sausage, pancakes, eggs, grits etc.,  we strolled over to check out the Seaside Country Store located a few doors (more than 3) down from Jimmy’s.

I took this photo (below) thinking I would post it here on the blog with a caption “Just like at Buzzy’s Country Store even the cops like to drop in every so often at Seaside Country Store.” After I took the photo, the cop seated in the car gave me the once over.  I started to go over to him and explain how I too owned a country store and that I wasn’t taking a picture of him but of the store.

However, I thought better of it as in let sleeping dogs lie and ignore him giving me dirty looks.    Funny isn’t it how whenever I see a cop it’s always a “Uh oh” reaction and I’m not even black.

“Kool” restaurant video here for you:
