Bruno and Sister Cloie

Flashback Friday and yes I have one more dog story for you.  (To those of you who might be inclined to say that all Buzzyblog entries here are “dog” stories, I don’t pretend otherwise.  As I’ve always maintained, it’s rock and roll, it ain’t classical.)

A couple photos from February 2008 featuring Bruno’s arrival at Buzzy’s Country Store.    (Just like all those Katrina retrospectives that begin “It seems like just yesterday” this is no different.)  To the left is Buzzy meeting Bruno for the first time and neither of them looking particularly thrilled about it.

Below is a photo of Bruno’s owner step-daughter Jennifer introducing Bruno to 4 O’clock Club members.  Charlie at least is feigning interest while Capt. Jimmy moves onto to more important matters such as securing a beer.

Fast forward now from Flashback Friday to Small World Sunday when just last week a biker guy was in the Store.  As we were talking about pets, he mentioned having a St. Bernard. Of course that led to a discussion of Buzzy’s Bruno. “Where’d you get him?” he asked. I told him it was a she and we got her locally from a guy in Sandgates. He said “Ryan? That’s where I got mine too. When did you get her?” I told him in early 2008. “So did I.”  Turns out that Bruno and Cloie are sisters from the same litter.  The guy then forwarded this photo of Cloie.

How’s that for a doggone good coincidence?

Guess that I can still tell this joke: What did the Indian say when his dog fell over the cliff? “Dog gone!”
