Convalescent Messages

Following my broken foot accident, I received several messages and emails from folks wishing me well and a speedy recovery.  I showed you Larry Yeatman’s Why Get Up video from the Fabulous Thunderbirds and a couple other messages made me think of some tunes and videos.  For instance, Steve Peterson wrote “Time cures all” which reminded me of this oldie:

And leave it to Brian Barnhill to know exactly how to cheer me up when he wrote “I got a woman who wanna ball all day.”  Of course, I responded back to him with “And stay drunk all the time.”

Joan Bean signed off her email with “Feel better” which made me think of Santana. (Very glad that Joan said this too, because I had forgotten what a great damn song this is featuring Santana at its prime. Sure wish that those old Hammonds would make a comeback.)
