Clyde Tried

Clyde and the Gov

After the ceremonial stuff outside the Store, Governor Hogan did make his way inside Buzzy’s to check things out.   The Governor met Clyde Ridgell who immediately asked if he wanted to ring the bell.  Governor Hogan replied “Yeah, I’ll ring it.”

Clyde then informed him of the Buzzy-Bell-Ringing-Buy-a-Round policy.  I told the Governor that he didn’t have to do it because with over 100 people there it would have been a pretty good hit to his wallet.  (Didn’t want our taxes to go up just because the Governor bought a round at Buzzy’s you know.)  Governor Hogan looked at his Deputy Chief of Staff Jeannie Haddaway-Riccio who indicated that it may not be a good idea for him to do so.  She later told Clyde that she would be keeping an eye on him.  Someone needs to.

Clyde Eyeing the Governor With Jeannie Over His Shoulder

Forget that road-widening business, we’re talking important matters here.  I guess then that 27 February will forever be remembered in the Buzzy history book as the day that Clyde tried to talk the Governor of Maryland into buying a round.
