One last comment on this year’s Academy Awards and that is concerning the category best songs. Here were this year’s nominated songs:
Seriously? I know I sound like an old fart saying that today’s music doesn’t stack up to what we listened to back in the day but it’s true (the old fart AND the music part.)

I’m betting that 30 years from now no one will remember any of this year’s songs. Whereas most all of the 10 songs listed for in 84 and 85 were great ones that we remember and enjoy hearing over and over. Even Ghostbusters!
Re-watched the movie Against All Odds the other day mostly to check out Cozumel and the other islands in the film. It also has football, sex, murder and Rachel Ward so it was worth checking out.) B movie but has a great theme song that was nominated for an Academy Award.
