It always amuses me the variety of phobias that are out there and just what some people are afraid of (click here.) Many of the phobias I get, e.g. Venustraphobia – who isn’t afraid of a beautiful woman? If you are not, then you should be.
But some of the phobias I don’t get such as the one for today – fear of Friday the 13th or Paraskevidekatriaphobia. (Triskaidekaphobia is fear of the number 13 and Paraskevidekatriaphobia is the fear of Friday the 13th.)
Some superstitious folks are so afraid of today that they won’t even leave home. This has led to a noted hit to businesses on Fridays when the 13th hits:

This evening at Buzzy’s Country Store it shouldn’t matter. LP’s birthday party and of course there will be lots of good old camaraderie so come on down. Don’t believe anyone has yet come up with a fear of fun phobia!
