Sunday Afternoon at Buzzy's

Amelia, Jackson and Grandpa Terry

You’ve heard the joke “I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out.”  Well, I always think of that whenever an impromptu party breaks out at Buzzy’s Country Store.  Yesterday for example Greg and Terry Madjeski along with Terry’s daughter Amelia and Grandson Jackson dropped into the Store early afternoonish.  Greg informed me that he had called some folks to come by and catch up with Terry who is here home visiting from Tahoe.

Next thing I knew, several folks were on hand in Buzzy’s and it was on. Tom Kellam and Glenn Simms made it over from Calvert to catch up with Terry along with Capt. Jimmy Cullison, Winkie and JW Raley.  The relived and laughed about old times and doings.  Anthony Abell and Charles Ridgell were also present.

I like it that Buzzy’s remains a place for old friends to meet, reminisce and catch up.  Laughter really is the best medicine.  Of course  a couple beers and shots facilitate that too!

One story that got retold involved Jimmy nude driving his motorcycle into the Green Door.  Seems that all of them were there for this misadventure.  It came out these many years later that it was Terry who hid Jimmy’s clothes when Jimmy finally made it back outside and tried to re-clothed himself but had to ride down the road naked.  Good excuse to play this for you.
