I am gonna be out of town for the next couple days, but don’t worry because I have the usual mish mash of b.s. in the Buzzy pipeline for you. So, as they say in the rooms “Keep coming back.”
The other day I played that Charlie Daniels tune South’s Gonna Do It Again wherein he references several southern rock groups. I knew most of the folks that he cited in the tune. (I did have to pulse “CDB” and felt foolish when I learned that it stood for his very own Charlie Daniels Band.)
But there was one band that Charlie mentioned that I wasn’t familiar with – Barefoot Jerry. Turns out I should have known about them because they are named after a country store.

On Mac Gayden’s FB page I saw this photo with the following description:
I wasn’t able to track down on the internet whether or not the store is still around or what became of it, so I sent Mac a note asking him about it. Here is his response:
Sounds a little like Southern Maryland doesn’t it?
Here as part of Twofer Tuesday are a couple of Barefoot Jerry tunes for you, along with Everlasting Love which Mac cowrote.
