Reminded me that a couple years ago when the Sons of the Confederacy were hosting an event at the Memorial, they asked me to have a sign made up welcoming their members to the event. They also asked me to hoist a Confederate Flag up the Buzzy flagpole. I blogged about it at the time (click here.)
It will be interesting to see how all this plays out given the churn over the Confederate memorials. Here’s hoping that Pt. Lookout stays under the radar.
Ironic isn’t it that 8 years with a black, liberal President and the memorials remain standing, but 6 months under a white-whatever-Trump-is and they come down? This becoming great again sure makes for living in some very strange times doesn’t it?
