Clyde McPhatter is best known as the founder and lead singer of the Drifters. Yet, his is a somewhat tragic story in that he died very young and broke.
Clyde was the first person to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame multiple times – once for his work within the Drifters and then as a solo artist. Twenty two other artists have since achieved what is referred to as entry into the “Clyde McPhatter Club. (click here for more info.)
While the Bing version of the song White Christmas is not in my Top Ten favorite Christmas tunes, I do like this version from Clyde and the Drifters. Too, I am not a big fan of animation stuff but this video makes me laugh.
