My travel friend Iris Willey gave me the book Plain Truth on our recent trip. She had just finished reading it and noted that while she had enjoyed it, she did not care for how it ended.
At over 400 pages, the book represented a challenge for me as I usually like my reading materials short and to the point. However, once I started reading Plain Truth, I couldn’t put it down. And as I made my way thru it and thought that I had figured out the ending, Iris’ reaction to it stayed in my mind. I wanted to finish it even quicker just to see if my take corresponded to and with what Iris thought of it. Here is a synopsis of the book written in 2001 and made into a movie in 2004:
