While visiting the University of Alaska’s Museum of the North, I wandered into one of the exhibit rooms and noticed all these colorful beer caps on one of the displays mounted on the wall.
Curious about the display, I read the following description of it:
I thought “OK, I get the beer caps as symbolizing the alcoholism connection but what’s all this about her Brother Drey which is actually the title of the piece?”
I looked more closely at the display but still couldn’t decipher it, still couldn’t get what it was all about. So I decided to take a photo of it. It was only when I backed up and looked thru the camera’s viewfinder that I finally “got the picture” – in more ways than one.
