This past Friday and Saturday I was in Terre Haute, Indiana celebrating my cousin Sister Marianne Ridgell’s 50th Jubilee as a Sister of Providence. Her nieces Dee and Desiree also attended with their husbands along with Cousin Joe White and his wife Pat. Here is a group photo of us just before the ceremony honoring Marianne and 4 other Sisters making their Jubilees.

It was a great ceremony and the Sisters of Providence sponsored a very moving, spiritual and loving ceremony in honor of the Jubilarians and for all us in attendance. You can check out the celebration thru a video that they have uploaded on their FB page (click here.)
I was impressed at how Saint Mother Guerin came to America in 1840 and started her ministry and how it grew to become as large as it is today. Too, I am very proud that my cousin Sister Marianne is a member of this group that continues to work so tirelessly on behalf of others. These are truly some very amazing folks.
