| Manny Saying Goodbye? |
From all accounts and rumors Manny Machado will be traded by Orioles very soon. (MLB trading deadline is 31 July.) Much as I don’t like seeing him go, it reminds me of a story I heard about Pirates’ Ralph Kiner wanting a raise after he had had a good year:

While an Oriole, Manny had a few bumps in the road one of which I witnessed. In 2014, my Grandson Shawn talked his Dad Shea, Brian Barnhill, Winkie and me into staying at an O’s-A’s game where the A’s were drilling the O’s 10-0. Since I was driving, I agreed to watching one more inning when, courtesy of Manny, all hell broke loose. (I blogged about it back in 2014 (click here.) I am glad we stayed as the brawl was much more entertaining than was the game.
But I do wish Manny well not only with his baseball career but also with his marriage. As you can see in the above photo, Manny, following his 2016 marriage, got a tattoo of his wife on his arm. Obviously, Manny never read the Top Ten Tattoo’s a guy should never get (click here.) Things girlfriend/wife come in at Number 2 on that list right behind facial tattoo’s.
