To follow up on my cookie post of yesterday, here is the story of Elsa’s Story:

In case you didn’t get it from reading all that, Elsa’s Story is a cookie manufacturer. My first read thru of Elsa’s Story (above) led me to think “Boy, this sure is a lot of mumbo jumbo over a simple cookie.” To paraphrase Sigmund, “Sometimes a cookie is just a cookie!”
But the more I thought about it, the more I re-read it, the more I liked it. It sorta grew on me such that I took a shot at modifying it as follows:
BUZZY’S STORE |
Buzzy’s Store sends you back to a time and a place when you were young and had a nickel to buy candy at a Country Store; when time was unspoken and tastes were simple. It is about a memory, a hint of nostalgia, captured in the tastes of a cold soda from the old Coke case on a hot summer day and the innocence of childhood. Buzzy’s Store was always open, with him behind the counter. He was no mystery, what you saw is what you got, but he remains a legend in our collective memories. Buzzy’s heritage is relived through the goodness of a Country Store that reminds us of how things used to be.
What do you think? Hope the Elsa’s Story folks are not too offended by my taking some liberties with their story. I may even contact them to see about selling some of their products in Buzzy’s Country Store!
While I can’t say for certain how many Elsa’s Story cookies they have ever eaten, I am very certain that Stevie Ray and Lonnie Mack have visited a country store or two in their time:
