Most days I don’t feel as old as I actually am. Mentally, psychologically I try to pretend that I am still the same 16 year old jerk that I once was. However, at 16 all you think about are girls, partying and having fun. At 68 I find myself more preoccupied with things like constipation, acid reflux, and pollen screwing me up. Girls, partying and having fun are just not in the rotation anymore.
So what happened? Got old seems too simple an answer but that’s the best I could come up with. On the positive side of the ledger though here is something I nicked from Oprah’s book Path Made Clear.
