My friends Jenn and Frank were in Buzzy’s Country Store having just viewed the movie The Lion King. (While I am not sure how many times that chain of events – movie and then Buzzy’s – has occurred among my Buzzy friends and visitors, I like it that they dropped by after seeing the movie. “See a movie, go to Buzzy’s!” I may have to push that.)
Jenn and Frank talked about how much they enjoyed the latest edition of the Lion King and corrected me for my dismissing it because I don’t do animated films. I say corrected me because they informed me that this current version of the Lion King is more CGI, virtual reality and “natural” than was the 1994 animated film. (Been 25 years, can you believe it?!)
Check out the movie’s official trailer here so you won’t seem like an such out-touch-idiot as I was if/when someone wants to discuss the latest version of the movie with you.
Also, if you are a big Lion King fan, there is this video that discusses the major changes and differences between the 1994 animated movie and the current one (click here.)
So back to where I started (that Circle of Life business you know?) here is my suggestion: do like Frank and Jenn did and go to see The Lion King. Afterwards, come down to Buzzy’s to tell me what you thought of it and I will buy you a drink. Hakuna matata or something like that.
