The other day my friend Nancy Barber showed me the following exercise to determine how many lives I have led:
She instructed me to add my birth date as follows:
02 Month born
12 Date born
1951 Year born
1965
Now add the first two number (1 + 9 = 10)
Then add the second two numbers (6 + 5 = 11)
Add 10 + 11 to get 21
Add 2 + 1 and that tells me that I have lived 3 lives. Feels like more but I can’t argue too much because I’m having trouble recalling things about this particular life I’m living much less things that went down in 2 or 3 previous ones.
A quick internet consult turns out that Nancy was onto something that some dude named Pythagoras conjured up many many years ago (click here and watch video.) He used mathematics to come up with metempsychosis which is just a fancy way of saying reincarnation (click here and scroll down to teachings.) Unlike yours truly who can’t recall any of my purported 3 previous lives, Pythagoras claimed that he could remember all 4 of his previous turns on life’s dance floor. Bad dude wasn’t he?
