It Was 50 Years Ago Today

That the Beatles unofficially came to the end of their long and winding road.  

I say unofficially because following Paul’s press release, in which he said that the Beatles were history, it would then take a couple more years to make the divorce official.  Like most divorces, this one was a bit messy.  For the full who-struck-who-story leading up to their initial and final splits (click here.)  

Someone sent me a more pleasant Beatles-related story discussing the re-painting of the famous Abbey Road cross walk.  Turns out that thanks to the corona virus shutting down the bulk of the traffic in that immediate area of London, it made for a good time to repaint the road (click here.)
