Looking closely at the photo of the Oar House here, I believe that the white vehicle parked there is Buzzy’s old Ford LTD. He and Les Johnson, who ran Capt. Tom’s Oar House for several years, were good friends and Buzzy was probably making a courtesy call.
July features two iconic establishments that are no longer around:
Regarding White Point Tavern’s “Under New Management – Deedy Garner and Dicky Barnes,” that would be our Ridge boy Dicky who worked for Deedy for a number of years. However, I was unaware that Dicky also helped Deedy out running White Point.
