Twofer June

With June flying by like a bat out of hell (and yeah, that’s a song setup if there ever was one,) I missed commenting on a couple of notable June days that just sorta came and went before I even realized it. No excuses for this oversight. However, in my defense, I did spend the first two weeks of this month traveling and doing some family reunion stuff that took priority over my daily Buzzyblog duties. I’ll try and do better next June providing I am still mucking around here in this country store called life.

The first June date that I should have mentioned was on the 11th of June, the day my Dad Buzzy passed in 2009. Don’t think that I will ever get to a point where 11 June is “just another day” to me.

In looking over some of the photos from that time, I found a folder containing a number of photos that my daughter Ryan took the day of Buzzy’s funeral. Ryan titled the folder “Granddaddy’s Trip” and this is a slideshow I put together of those photos that you can scroll thru.

The second special June date that I neglected to discuss nor mention here on the Buzzyblog was this past Sunday’s Fathers Day celebration. Usually I try and say something positive about Dads everywhere and give them some Buzzy-love on their special day. But this year that day came and went too just like a bat – well you know the rest. However, I did have this Weed Dad back photo saved on my Desktop ready for a would-be Buzzyblog Father’s Day comment. Here it is a couple days hence:
