Yesterday’s American Legion Car Show/Bull Roast/Oyster Scald was a huge success and very well attended. The following is from their FB page.
Got to confess that it did make me think about and miss having our Buzzy Car Show as we did for several years. It made me go to the files and pull out these photos from our last Buzzy Car Show held in 2021:
As I reminisced and felt nostalgic however, the following photo from yesterday’s event popped up and made me say to myself “OK Dr. Frankenstein, you did the right thing pulling the plug on that monster you created.” This was always my biggest concern and fear at the Buzzy Car Show. Fortunately, the driver here is ok.
So when folks ask me if I miss having the Buzzy Car Show, I hem and haw and only lie some when I reply “Yes, a little.”
The one thing I do miss about the Buzzy Car Show is having so many of my old friends at Buzzy’s at the same time. (Did I say old? OK, let’s reword that to read “Lifelong friends.”) For example, this photo from the 2021 Buzzy Car Show.
Buzzy’s was well represented yesterday at the Legion Car Show however as Kevin, Lisa, Greg and Ned all won a trophy and then celebrated doing so back at Buzzy’s:
