Though born on a Monday, I have always aspired to be a Saturday’s child iaw with the old nursery rhyme upon which all this was based. Not only did I not care for my “Monday’s child is fair of face” depiction, but I never particularly liked any of the descriptions for any of the other days of the week save for Saturday. Here then is the old nursery rhyme that inspired this:
Not particularly enamored with any of that 1800’s crap, here then is my very lame attempt to update and put a little more positive spin on these days-of-the-week-traits. (Note how I have made Monday more to my liking.)
Monday’s child is born to rock,
Tuesday’s child has quite a lot.
Wednesday’s child is full of energy to spare,
Thursday’s child hasn’t a care.
Fridays child is quick with a joke
Saturday’s child is full of hope
The child who is born on a Sunday
Will always try to do it the easy way.

Back to Saturday’s child, here are the Monkees talking about it:
For the record – Buzzy was a Saturday’s Child.
