No, not me. At least not for a couple weeks when I really will hit that magic number birthday-wise.
The 73 I am referring to is the projected high temp for this late January day ahead of us. Usually this time of year (as was the case just last week) we are dealing with below zero wind chill temps and frigid cold weather. But today sounds like one of those days to get out and enjoy the weather versus suffering through and enduring it. This is what my weather pop up is currently showing.
Regarding weather and quotes about it, two of the most famous of weather quotes are often erroneously credited to Mark Twain: “If you don’t like the weather, wait a few minutes” (click here) and “Everybody talks about the weather but nobody does anything about it” (click here.) I guess the boy said something along those lines at one time or another, but sounds like some other folks may have originated both those sayings. Remember your Shakespeare – there is nothing new under the sun. (Actually that was a Bible quote that Billy “appropriated” (click here.)
Anyway, think I prefer Louise Hay’s weather observation:
That said, my attitude towards today’s forecast is VERY good. If you are out and about later, swing by Buzzy’s Country Store and say that you sat out on the front porch in late January and actually enjoyed the weather. (Then again it may be raining, so you may have to wait it out a few minutes!)
Mention of nothing new under the sun led me to this nice tune and video:
