I’d Tell You a Weather Joke But Think I’ll Save it for a Rainy Day

I like it when the main topic of conversation in Buzzy’s Country Store is the weather. That means there is nothing else too bad or sad going on to be discussed.

Same goes for the nightly news on TV. Whenever Lester Holt starts off by talking about a cold front, hurricane or heat wave, I know that the “if-it-bleeds-it-leads” approach to covering news is not the big story of the day. Weather bad? Things are good.

Invariably during the course of these Buzzy weather conversations, someone will cite JB Weather. (I have blogged about JB a couple times previously here on the Buzzyblog ( e.g. click here.)

What I particularly like about JB is that he is focused mostly on our Southern Maryland area. We don’t have to sit thru Topper, Doug, Amelia etc. droning on about Northern Virginia, “inside the beltway,” Annapolis, Montgomery and PG Counties. With JB, he is talking about what matters most to us as in – what’s it gonna be like when I walk out my door? As a good example, here is JB’s latest update on what we are looking at for today:

Musically, here is an interesting listing of supposedly the 25 best weather songs of all time (click here.) I say supposedly because any weather song list that has Milli Vanilli on it (Blame it On the Rain) and not Stormy Monday is a little suspect.

But because I am in a live-and-live mood today, here they are for their first and last appearance ever on the Buzzyblog. (Guilty pleasure confession time, this really isn’t that bad of a tune. Plus the video is worth a look-see. Got to blame it on something I guess.)
