I will save you from having to look up the definition of it when I tell you that I am a taphophile meaning I am someone who likes visiting graveyards.
I can not explain why that is, but I do know, that whenever I am in a graveyard, to quote the Eagles “I get a peaceful and easy feeling.” (Note that the little bit of time I spent in therapy at a stressful time or two in my life, the subject of my finding more peace and comfort among the dead than I did among the living never came up for any in-depth analysis. Guess I have that to look forward to should I ever find myself back in a shrink’s care.)
On our current tour of Ireland, I was fortunate enough to have paid a visit to one of the nicest graveyards that I have ever been to – Clonmacnoise. (Read on en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clonmacnoise.)
