Speaking of Irish pubs (yesterday’s Buzzyblog post), we hit quite a few during our time there including a couple that were part of our tour’s itinerary.
On our way to Dingle for instance, we stopped at the South Pole Inn. I found this great video of it on Youtube. (There is also this video (click here) that features the owner giving you the history behind the Inn.)

Our time in Ireland coincided with Bruce doing his four-stop tour there and appearing in 2 of the places that we were visiting – Kilkenny and Dublin.
Bruce actually impacted our initial tour itinerary. Seems that the hotel we were originally set to stay at in Kilkenny bumped us because they could get more money from Bruce fans versus what they were making off of our tour company that had locked in lower rates previously. This actually worked to our advantage, because the hotel we were diverted to in Waterford was a little nicer and more centrally located for our purposes than was our original one in Kilkenny. Thank you Bruce!
The following tune was not on Bruce’s concert set list, but it crossed my mind recently when thinking about how best to deal with life’s ups and downs – be tougher than the rest.
