With Apologies to Brenda Lee

This from the Subject Matter Title “Why You Should Never Text an Apology.”

You have to be an old fart music lover to appreciate this, what I thought was a Marshall Crenshaw song. Turns out that it was written and originally recorded by Ben Vaughn (below.) P.S. Just in case you don’t get the Brenda Lee reference, her “I’m Sorry” was a Number 1 hit for her in 1960 when she was only 15 years old (click here.)

As for why I did not bother to embed Brenda’s sad sack of a song – hey, I’m sorry but, what’s the old saying “That dog don’t hunt for me.” However, I really can’t be too critical of Brenda because she does have a country store connection that earns my lasting respect for her:

Gives me the idea that maybe I should start auditioning 3 year olds singing on Buzzy’s counter.
