When I went looking for Brian’s “Snowy Day at Buzzy’s” photo for yesterday’s post here on the Buzzyblog, I found the Buzzy Facebook content page showing several photos as follows:
The 4 people photos are the ones I want to discuss today.
The Aldridge Brothers dropped into Buzzy’s for this classic photo I took of them on 24 April 2022 (click here for the Buzzyblog post on their visit.) Gordon passed a year later on 4 April (click here.)
Jon Sevel and his Father Bernie visited Buzzy’s on October 2021 (click here for post on their visit and Jon’s FB comments about it.) Mr. Sevel related how it was his Grandfather Nathan Shuman who had had the store moved up from Pt. Lookout after the Civil War. I recall Buzzy saying that many of the older folks had told him about the store having been moved from Pt. Lookout so it was great that Mr. Sevel was able to verify that for us. (Note I will have an additional post on Mr. Sevel who recently passed.)
Then there is the photo of a couple of my Piney Point neighbors and friends who dropped into Buzzy’s. Paulette and Rick Swann were in Buzzy’s when Nancy and Bobby Lumpkins also visited. I managed to get this photo of three of them while Nancy was on the front porch. Next time I’ll be sure to have Nancy in the photo too.
The photo of Hulk Hogan on guitar was part of a 4th of July meme that Brady sent me a couple of years ago. Here is the music video that originated that photo:
