Couple nice folks in Buzzy’s Country Store recently paid in advance for several rounds for a friend who celebrated a milestone birthday. I put the credit for him on the stick and when he tried to pay, I informed him of his cohorts’ generosity in buying him the several rounds.
He smiled and said “I guess that’s what you call money for nothing.” I asked him “What do you mean, it was for your birthday.” He laughed and replied “That’s exactly I mean; at this point in my life, birthdays mean nothing to me. But I do appreciate them thinking about me.”
That conversation sent me to the Youtube files looking for the tune “Money for Nothing”. However, I landed on this video instead – the back story of how the tune and the video came to be.
