Found this old County map among some of Buzzy’s files and papers and wanted to pass it along to you with a little challenge: see how many of the advertisers you can recall? Also, note how many are no longer around!
I enlarged the two South County advertisers as follows. Scheible’s Fishing Center did not surprise me at being included, but seeing Capt. Charles Ridgell’s did. (Although I have to wonder just how much business Capt. Charlie got from the ad because I am fairly certain that that 875 phone number as listed was incorrect. Should have been 872.)
