Just heard some “warming” sports news: pitchers and catchers will report for spring training less than 5 weeks from now.
As for why the pitchers and catchers report before the other players (click here for the rest of that story.) Enterprise baseball photo included for you above. Although they got Chris’ last name incorrect for the photo caption, they did have it right the four times they mentioned him in the accompanying article (below.) (Note – That’s my Brother-in-law Dan Hoffmeister talking to Chris while paying homage to Johnny U.)
And speaking of Johnny U, today we begin a full weekend of football. College playoff game tonight followed by 3 days/nights of the NFL’s Wild Card Weekend.
